For the third consecutive year, Mazda is getting behind Kiwi music by continuing its support for the 2009 Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards and as naming sponsor for the Mazda Best Female Solo Artist category.

It’s really fantastic to be part of such a great event and acknowledge our talented recording artists,” said Andrew Clearwater, managing director, Mazda New Zealand. “The competition for Mazda Best Female Solo Artist has been strongly contested over the past couple of years and based on this week’s announcement of the finalists the race for honours in 2009 is going to be no different”
As the official vehicle partner for the music awards, celebrities and artists will be driven from the official pre-awards Departure Party to the glitz and glamour of the red carpet in a fleet of new-generation Mazda vehicles. In addition, Mazda has supplied two new-generation Mazda3 promotional vehicles decked out from head to toe with stunning graphics of this year’s Mazda Best Female Solo Artist nominees – Boh Runga, Ladi 6 and Ladyhawke.
The finalists of the 2009 Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards were announced this week at an event in Auckland. The awards will be held on October 8 at Vector Arena, Auckland.
